Don’t Worry

Jesus said, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Matthew 6:34

We either spend so much time worrying about tomorrow, or reflecting on our triumphs or our disappointments from years past, that we forget to live today. Take Jesus advice and don’t worry so much about tomorrow.

Put Your Trust In God.

Tomorrow isn’t here yet so don’t worry about it. God knows your tomorrows and he’s not sitting there scratching His head about how he’s going to take care of you when tomorrow does arrive. You’re in good hands.

Seeking Wisdom

“Where is the wise?…Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” 1 Corinthians 1:20

Ask the average person for the definition of foolishness vs. wisdom and they might be tempted to say, “take a drive down the local freeway where both are on full display.” In reality, our foolishness comes from just not knowing what we do not know. We can’t read minds. We don’t fully understand the true motivation of another’s heart. In other words, we really walk through life with blinders on. Understanding this is the first step to attaining wisdom.

A Wise Person Will Turn To Someone With All The Answers.

We stop playing the fool when we look to God and say, “Thy will be done, Lord”.

Marvelous New Year

God said, “Behold, I am doing a new thing. Do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:19

We tend to search high and low for answers through friends and counselors and the internet, but fail to call upon the One who can actually provide the answers we seek. In this new year, God indeed has something new in store for you.

A Marvelous New Year Awaits.

The next move is yours to discover exactly the new He has in store for you. Call upon Him. It’s not complicated. There is no secret formula or exact phrasing to be used. God will not be impressed that you memorized the way someone somewhere put a poetic prayer together. Just speak from your heart. You have Him on speed dial by simply opening your mouth. If you’re not sure what to say, try starting with something like, Ok God, I know you’re there. Here I am. I’m available. What do you have in mind for me in this new year? Acknowledge that He is there and open the door to a conversation. God will answer.
