Have you ever done a victory lap after a serious setback? Just reading that statement you may think that I’ve lost my marbles, but I’m completely serious. Many years ago when my wife and I both lost our jobs on the same day, we went home and did a victory lap in our kitchen! We both believed that God had something new and better in store for us and chose in that moment to exercise our faith and trust Him. Philippians tells us:

Rejoice, and then rejoice again!

Philippians also goes on to say why we can rejoice in all circumstances. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
