“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Matthew 21:9

Today is Palm Sunday, so named as it commemorates Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a colt, as a cheering crowd lays down palm branches to carpet his path, and shout, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Yet for Jesus, this is one long ride which will, by the end of the week, find him hanging on a cross.

Jesus Took The Ride, Anyway

Why, you may ask? Because it was the only path available to save us. That’s how much He loves you and I. Today, celebrate the ride that Jesus took by simply saying, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
