Light

Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14

Whether you realize it or not, you emit light. You are a source of energy, either positive or negative. And your very presence on this planet is not ignored, even in those time when you feel very alone for God is always with you, which means a whole host of angels are gathered around just to see how you interact with God, and how He interacts with you. For as David wrote in Psalm 139, “Where can I flee from your presence. If I go up to the heavens, You are there. If I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn or settle on the far side of the sea, even there

Your right hand shall hold me”.

With all this attention focused on you, you should smile more, encourage others often, and pray that others around you discover as you just have, how powerful the light within them is.

Rescue

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

God has it all under control. I’ll never forget the exact moment, during one of the most stressful times in my life, I prayed to God pleading for rescue. His response to me was instant and unambiguous. “Be still and know that I am God.” In that instant I focused my perspective on Him. That specific time showed to me that when you pray with a sincere heart, rescue arrives

Right At The Point Of Your Need.

In that moment I had peace in the midst of my storm that made no earthly sense. The storm that needed changing eventually did, in God’s perfect timing. Whatever storm you find yourself in, God is saying to you today, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Pull Up A Chair

“You (God) prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” Psalm 23:5

David uses a very interesting visual analogy in saying that the Lord prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. However you interpret these words, one thing is crystal clear,

The Lord Is On Your Side

David further expounds this concept a few chapters later in Psalm 46, where he says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear.” Indeed, God has prepared a table before you, in the very presence of your enemies. And who are your enemies? Don’t always assume its people. How about fear…worry…guilt…doubt…the list is endless. We wrestle with a lot of enemies in our minds every single day. Just remember, God sits with you at the table. Trust Him.

Believe

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Doubts fuel many things, none of which are positive nor belong in our lives. Faith on the other hand fuels hope. Faith is

Believing Before You See.

Faith is a choice you make every waking hour. It’s a life that’s filled me with joy and peace and comfort. Knowing that my Creator lives and that His promises are real is a life worth living. The faith decision is yours alone to make.

Trust

“Trust in the Lord and do good…delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:3-4

We all cry out to God, but do we really take the time to listen to His response? Nothing escapes God’s attention, including your words, your circumstances, and your heartfelt desires. Yet with all our pleadings, we often overlook one very important detail.

Trust

God has given to us verse after verse filled with His promises of care, comfort, provision, and healing. All we have to do is trust. Trust that He knows what’s best for us and the perfect timing to bring about a future filled with hope. The next time you ask God for anything, TRUST that God’s perfect answer is already in route. Trust and be content. Your Heavenly Father knows what you need, even before you do.

Behold!

“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3

Isaiah describes a vision. The Lord, seated on a throne, the train of his robe completely filling a temple. Above the throne are two flying seraphim, each with six wings triumphantly proclaiming “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty” Isaiah’s response?

“My Eyes Have Seen The King”

You may be thinking that you have never beheld such a scene. I believe you, and Jesus realizes this in John 20 where He says, “Because you have seen Me you believe. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.” Faith is believing in that which you have not seen. Such faith comes with blessings. You may not have seen all that you read about in the Bible, but live a life of faith and you will be amazed at what you do see.

Wonderful Things

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Isaiah 64:4 (and repeated in 1 Corinthians 2:9)

This is one great promise from God, layered with incredible anticipation. Just take a moment and look at a sunset, or loved one, or anything in God’s beautiful creation. Now drink in these words from Isaiah 64 that your eyes have not seen, nor can you imagine,

All The Wonderful Things God Has In Store For you!

That’s why in Faith, everyday, I believe the best is yet to come.

Miracle Working Power

God said, “concerning the work of My hands, you command Me” Isaiah 45:11

If we truly understood the miracle working power available at the tip of our tongue, we would never stop praying. Have you ever stopped to think how seriously God takes prayer? To God, prayer is not just something He asks in hopes that we will do it. No, God takes prayer so seriously that He actually says, “Concerning the works of My hands,

Command Me”

Unfortunately, it is us who do not lift prayer to this level. Perhaps that the answer. Paul understood this for he was the one who said, “Pray without ceasing”. Are you ready for a miracle? Start praying, and don’t stop.

In Good Hands

“Seek first the kingdom of God…and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

We are enamored with the future, so much so that it shapes and overshadows living today. Jesus addresses this head on in Matthew 6 where he instructs us not to worry about tomorrow, for today has enough troubles of its own. The plain truth is,

Your Tomorrow Is In Good Hands.

Jesus said, seek first the kingdom of God and all that we worry about will be taken care of. God’s prescription for joyful living is simple. “Love the Lord with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself”. Strive for this every day then watch how the needs you spend so much time worrying about suddenly get taken care of. That’s how God’s promises work. He instructs – we follow – He fulfills His promises.

Choose Joy

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Joy is a choice we make, but quite frankly it should be as easy as breathing. As our scripture says today, rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for us. So many ask me, “what’s God’s will for my life.” The answer is,

Live Joyfully!

When you live your life filled with joy you brighten the world of everyone you meet. More than that you will actually fulfill the two great commandments; to Love God, and to love one another. Think about it, you can’t have joy without love in your heart, and you can’t love without being joyful. Choose joy today, for all the world to see.
